After leaving it late last weekend against Seongnam, FC Seoul secured their second single goal victory over a championship rival team as Ki Sung-yong struck in injury time to put the capital side three points clear at the top of the table.
The victory was all the more remarkable as it capped a superb comeback from the capital side, who trailed Suwon by eleven points at the halfway point of the season and are now in pole position to claim the guaranteed championship final spot that comes with finishing first overall.
Fellow title challengers Seongnam were held to a goalless draw at home to Incheon, whilst Ulsan moved to within striking range of second spot with a 2-1 win on the road in Gwangju.
Busan were the biggest winners of the weekend, as a double from Ahn Jung-hwan helped them on the way to a 3-0 home victory over Jeju that has all but ended the visitors' hopes of clinching a playoff spot.
Gyeongnam and Jeonbuk both retain hopes of overhauling Incheon for sixth spot as they picked up weekend wins, whilst defending champions Pohang made sure of fifth place as they were comfortable 3-0 winners in Daejeon.
