FC Seoul overcome Ulsan to reach Championship final

FC Seoul stormed to an emphatic extra-time victory over Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i at the Seoul World Cup stadium to set up a K-League championship final showdown with rivals Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

Ulsan, who won through to semi-final after eliminating Pohang and Jeonbuk, fell behind in the 26th minute as Jung Jo-guk was on target to give the home side the lead. Yeom Ki-hoon levelled proceedings eleven minutes from the end to send the game into extra time, but FC Seoul soon began to take control.

Dejan Damjanovic put FC Seoul back in front seven minutes into the first half of extra time, and Kim Eun-jung made it 3-1 after 109 minutes. Luis Carlos Fernandes put Ulsan right back in it in the 114th minute, but just sixty seconds later Ki Seung-yong netted the capital club's fourth and ensured they would progress.

The first leg of the Championship Final will take place at the Seoul World Cup stadium on Wednesday December 3rd, with the second leg taking place at the Suwon World Cup stadium on Sunday December 7th. The aggregate victors will be crowned 2008 K-League champions.
