Gumi Siltron were the biggest winners in the first round of qualifying for the 2008 Hana Bank Korean FA Cup as they destroyed fellow amateur club Gangnam TNT at the Gimcheon stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Siltron booked their place in the second round, and a tie against 2007 Konygreen Cup winners Chungju Solveige, with a 6-0 victory over a much-changed TNT side to that which secured qualification to the FA Cup last year, with the bulk of that squad now representing Bucheon FC at K3 level.
2007 K3 League runners-up Hwaseong Sinwoo Electronics were eliminated 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw with K3 opponents Jeonju EM Korea, and in the other all-K3 clash Cheonan FC defeated Yongin FC to set up a second round clash with National League debutants and city rivals Cheonan City. Sangji University enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 win over MD UHL Sport to book their passage to the next round.
