South Korea warmed up for their midweek home World Cup qualifying clash with the United Arab Emirates by securing a comfortable 3-0 friendly victory over Uzbekistan in Suwon on Saturday.
Ki Sung-yong opened the scoring in the third minute, the second goal in three international appearances so far for the FC Seoul youngster. Daegu's Lee Keun-ho doubled the advantage in the 72nd minute, and then helped himself to his second and Korea's third five minutes from the end.
The result will be a confidence boost ahead of the midweek Group B qualifier against the UAE, a game in which Korea will be looking to take full points from after opening their campaign with a draw against North Korea in Shanghai in September.
The match will take place on Wednesday October 15th at the Seoul World Cup stadium, with kick-off at 8pm.
