Laktionov heads home

Denis Laktionov's 12-year association with Korean football has come to an end as the 30 year-old forward has joined Russian side first division side Sibir Novosibirsk on a free transfer.

Laktionov, who joined Suwon Samsung Bluewings in 1996 and went on to win two league titles and two Asian Champions Cup titles with the Bluewings, moved to Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in 2003 where he took Korean citizenship and temporarily adopted the name Lee Seong-nam. A subsequent loan spell at Busan I'Park followed before rejoining Suwon for a second spell in 2006.

Sibir Novosibirsk finished third in the recently-concluded Russian first division season, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League.
