Radoncic helps Incheon set early pace

Incheon United remain the only side with a 100% record in the 2008 K-League after just two rounds of matches as Montenegrin forward Dzenan Radoncic fired his club to a 1-0 home victory over Chunnam.

Radoncic, who netted last week in Incheon's 2-0 win at Jeju, pounced after just 41 seconds and his goal was enough to condemn AFC Champions League participants Chunnam to their second straight league defeat and third reverse of the season, after their midweek defeat in Australia to Melbourne Victory.

Defending champions Pohang suffered a crushing 3-0 reverse to 2005 title winners Ulsan, with goals from Lee Jin-ho, Brasilia and Woo Sung-yong giving coach Pohang Sergio Farias cause for concern even this early on in the season.

Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, for so long the dominant force in Korean football, await their first victory of 2008 after Suwon Samsung Bluewings twice came from behind at the Tancheon stadium to grab a 2-2 draw. Han Dong-won fired the home side ahead before Lee Kwan-woo rifled in a fierce curling effort on the half-hour mark to level proceedings. Brazilian forward Dudu sent Seongnam in ahead at the break, but Lee notched his second of the game after crashing a 40-yard free kick effort off the underside of the crossbar and just over the goal line.

Busan's mini-revolution looked set to continue in Daegu as first half goals from Ahn Sung-min and Kim Seung-hyun had them leading the home side 2-1 at the interval, but Daegu struck back twice in the second half to claim their first three points of the season.

Korean international forward Jo Jae-jin netted his first goal since returning to the K-League for Jeonbuk, however it wasn't enough to claim victory over FC Seoul as strikes from Dejan Damjanovic and Park Joo-young at the start of the first half and end of the second respectively gave the capital club a hard-fought triumph over the Motors.

Jeju United put the misery of their 2-0 opening home defeat to Incheon behind them with a victory by the same scoreline in Daejeon, and Gwangju followed up their creditable 1-1 draw against Seongnam with a 2-0 home win against Gyeongnam.
