Samsung Electronics's long relationship with the top flight of Korean football is set to continue as they have agreed a deal to extend their sponsorship of the K-League into the 2008 season.
Initially sponsors of the league in 2000, Samsung Electronics returned to sponsor the season in 2002 and have continued to support the K-League when other sponsors and advertisers have been hard to come by.
The 2008 season will be known as the "Samsung Hauzen K-League 2008", with the League Cup competition likely to be named the "Hauzen Cup" as in previous years. No details of the value of the new deal have been released, but the sponsorship deal in 2007 was worth $3.3m to the K-League.
