FC Seoul moved to the top of the K-League table for the first time this season as Lee Sang-hyub pounced three minutes from time to give the capital club victory over championship rivals Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma.
24,001 spectators were in attendance for the clash of the league heavyweights and saw Senol Gunes' side move top on goal difference after Suwon could only draw on the road at Pohang.
Ulsan secured the biggest win of the K-League weekend as two goals each from Luis Carlos Fernandes and Almir Lopes de Luna gave them an emphatic victory over strugglers Daejeon. Incheon secured a vital three points on the road at Jeonbuk as Aleksandar Petrovic put through his own net to give Incheon a vital three points in the race for the final playoff spot.
Jeju's hopes of reaching the playoffs were dealt a blow as they went down 1-0 away to bottom club Gwangju, whilst Gyeongnam and Chunnam remain in the hunt after victories at Busan and Daegu respectively.
In the National League, Gangneung remain in pole position for the final playoff spot with one round of fixtures remaining. Their 2-1 victory over Busan Transport keeps them in second place, ahead of Ansan Hallelujah who enjoyed a fine victory over stage winners Suwon City. Daejeon HNP's victory over Incheon Korail keeps their hopes alive going into the final round, however Gimhae's 4-4 home draw with overall leaders Ulsan Mipo means their hopes of reaching the playoffs in their debut league season are over.
Defending K3 League champions Seoul United are all but out of the 2008 title race as they slumped to a 4-0 defeat away to Jeonju Ongoeul. Yongin remain top of the second stage after their 3-1 win in Bucheon, whilst Yangju and Gwangju Gwangsan both secured victories to further strengthen their hopes of reaching the post-season playoffs.
