Pohang Steelers claimed their second FA Cup triumph as they ended Gyeongnam's hopes of a first-ever trophy with a 2-0 victory in the 2008 Hana Bank FA Cup final in Jeju on Sunday.

Sergio Farias' side, who won the inaugural competition back in 1996 and have been runners-up on three occasions including last year, opened the scoring in the third minute through Hwang Jin-sung, and victory was assured in the 78th minute when Kim Jae-sung doubled Pohang's advantage.

The Steelers will now join K-League champions Suwon Samsung Bluewings, league runners-up FC Seoul and third-placed Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i in the 2009 AFC Champions League competition.
